The Woman in Black (stage play) Clip Five

This is a short clip from a stage production of "The Woman in Black," adapted from the novel by Susan Hill. Structured as a play-within-a-play, the cast consists of two men - a young actor/teacher and an older gentleman who is haunted by his past - who use little more than the power of storytelling to recreate a ghostly experience that befell the protagonist many years before.

In this scene, Arthur Kipps has arrived at Eel Marsh house and caught a frightening glimpse of the Woman in Black. He searches the grounds for her until the oppressive sea mist ("frets") roll over him, and then hears what he believes to be the sound of Keckwick's horse and buggy coming to take him back to the mainland. But it is not so...

@Rebecca9021010 right. even when I saw it with my school's theater club a few years ago, we all stayed after to talk to the actors but they wouldn't even bring the woman out then. someone asked if we could meet her and they were just like, "what woman?" lol

i don't think they'd reveal the woman on these youtube videos just to be fair to the people who produce the play. it isn't really fair if everything is revealed, the woman is the best part.
