You must be kidding me? Winning the league that something makes you proud as a country man that is your team best in the country.
Champions league takes about 12 games and out of 12 games maybe you experience 2 or 3 hard games and you can have a luck...
Do you really think back to Porto days when they won Champions League they were the best? They had luck.
While in league you can't have luck for 38 games if we are talking about EPL.
If you are the best, you simply the best.

soybolso the champions league is the most important trophy on the planet! it would be a little kids dream to represent his team and at least achieve making it to the final of that comp rather than winning a measly a-league that nobody except aussies care about!

soybolso29, the problem is ... Victorians LOVE their sport, which is admirable ... BUT ... they want TOTAL CONTROL. That's OK if they were FAIR ... but they are NOT because you ALSO WANT TO WIN AT ALL COST. That is were the problem is. And that is why non-Victorians don't want to play with you. Outside of Victoria numbers are dropping in Football, Basketball, AFL. Even Sydney, who is BIGGER, and I must say, FAIRER, don't want to play with you. RUN AN EGALITARIAN COMPETITION were the BEST can win
