This is EUX.TV's analysis and commentary on the United Nations climate talks in Copenhagen:
"A weak agreement. A failure. A deception. A farce.
The United Nations climate conference in Copenhagen has not become the turning point in history that many people on earth were hoping for.
Despite the urgency of global warming, the worlds political leadership did not manage to step beyond its own shadows.
In the end, national economic and political interests weighed more heavily than the general global interests.
Our global environment, particularly in developing countries, now is the main victim. Financing innovation in green technology will remain difficult.
The only issue agreed on is the need to keep global warming limited to a rise of 2 degrees celsius. Still undecided is the how and when that is to happen.
Copenhagen did not only lack political will, but it also lacked organizational skills. Thats disappointing and embarrassing, certainly given the enormity of what was at stake:
reducing global warming so that planet earth remains a place to live for future generations.
There is broad agreement on this goal. Yet translating this into political action at this stage, despite two years of preparations among the 192 members of the United Nations, proved impossible.
At a time when true global leadership, discipline and guidance were needed, the Danish government, as organizers, and the United Nations were unable to deliver an efficient infrastructure, contributing to a chaotic process that was dogged by procedural games
The European Union, a self-proclaimed global climate leader, clearly was not able to put its mark on the negotiations. It was literally snowed under by China and the United States.
The US is held back by climate skeptics on Capitol Hill. China remains obsessed with accelerating economic growth.
All this gives to think and needs to be a lesson. Our climate is too important to be made dependent on different national interests. This needs to change.
If it proves impossible to achieve the goals through an all-encompassing global agreement, then the process should be revised to an alternative one, with smaller, less ambitious steps. Better one small step at a time, than no large steps at all.
Copenhagen has failed, leaving us with a major hangover. The fight against global warming however, will continue. The urgency of the problem and the lessons of Copenhagen will not let global warming disappear from the international agenda. Raymond Frenken. EUX.TV."
Sounds like that book does a lot of speculating. The only record of Atlantis ever being was a story told by one man, who supposedly heard about it as a small child. Then there's the location of Antarctica in that time range, the only way to know for sure would to have been there. 2,500 miles?

Good luck with Psych class. Let me know, I'm very interested in what you find. People use numbers and percentages to support their theories, unfortunately often times using semantics to lie with those numbers.

I was also thinking about the number you stated "26,000" square miles of ice. That doesn't give us a relative thickness of ice just a flat interpretation. I'm curious as to how many thousands, or millions of cubic feet. Square means very little if its centimeters of ice melting off along a coastline.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention all of the rivers that flow into the bays, and oceans throughout the world. How many hundreds of billions of gallons do you think that is per year? That's one hell of a salinity factor isn't it? Rivers make that "26,000 square miles of ice" melting look like a drop in the bucket.
siradon2000 2 years ago
Alright, now the matter of salinity. If the diluting of salinity is so bad. Why is it that we harvest tons of sea salt from the oceans each year? That would surely effect the salinity of the ocean wouldn't it?

This ice melting is wreaking havoc on the ecology of the ocean and is creating such a problem. Now lets think logically for a minute, its water melting from ICE. The water in the area is already at the same temperature, perhaps a little warmer. If it is warmer its safe to say the ocean is contributing to the melting of the ice. How is the temperature of the water going to effect the weather? Ice melts makes water, where did the ice come from to begin with? Seriously, think about it.

You're the one coming with "The Coming Global Superstorm" and how no one wants you to know. So yes, sounds pretty fruity. You brought up 9/11, etc, I simply stated don't forget about hurricane Katrina due to the fact that the government suspended Posse Comitatus, declared Martial Law and haven't suspended Martial Law, or put Posse Comitatus back in place as of yet. Yes when ice melts it would be water, good for you. Now what happens when salt water meets fresh water? Does that make it all fresh?
siradon2000 2 years ago
Don't forget hurricane Katrina there fruity. There are several different factors you need to take into consideration when talking about the melting ice, and oceanic currents. Obviously there is the amount of ice that is melting. You also need to take into account the amount of ice accumulating on top of the ice that is still there. 26,000 sq miles of ice melting, over what amount of time? What does that equate to in water/air ratio? You tell me to wake up to the NWO and you're in college? Really

3 of the hottest years in recorded history were in the 1930's. 3 of the coldest years to date have been in the 21st century. The Sun is the largest factor in "global warming" and its not even taken into account. Talking about checking your local weather. The owner of the weather channel has 30,000 scientists to back him up in a lawsuit against Al Gore over "global warming". The Government is trying to gain more control over our lives through global warming. As you say though, ignorance is bliss.

I fully understand the subject. I simply find it entertaining that the giant meeting that was held spent that much money, produced so much CO-2 and according to people that attended the Copenhagen Talks said themselves that they accomplished nothing. So when you talk about the facts are you referring to the falsified documents that the two "leading" scientists gathered from "climate gate"? Altered science isn't science at all buddy, and they weren't the only ones doing it guaranteed.
