Minecraft Presents! Getting all wrapped up for you.

I realise it looks like a time lapse... it isn't. It was filmed in game, and recorded in a standard minecraft client... the whole set really does appear before your very eyes. Download the world below if you don't believe me! The set was made courtesy of the the MMAHP team (well some of them and some new faces) here's a tree, with presents. All made thanks to the amazing texelelf and this random bunch of builders. I know I've been slack in 2012... but I intend to be slack in 2013 too.

Maybe you can turn these "36" Blocks into spawners using sethblings statue maker filter, so it will only start building when you get close to the spawners.

spawners have their own drawbacks. can't build things without solids under them and are limited in blocks. They're a lot more memory intensive too. They both have different strengths and weaknesses for sure.

This block 36 filter is going to be amazing for traps and maps in general. I hope they don't fix it like the invisible blocks.

I trust block 36 because its uses is core to the way pistons are programmed. I think they would have to reprogram the way pistons move blocks for the functionality to be lost. "but buds are going away so they're changing pistons!" connectivity of pistons is different to the way pistons move blocks. I have faith.
