@shellius Your last note to me was in '09 - FYI although I did shop there before this film came out - FYI Sweetie - I still have not gone back to Buy anything @ Build a Bear!! And I NEVER WILL!! YOU are the the one that seriously needs to wake up! When I say I will BOYCOTT I DO IT!!

@L4CES The sun heats you too, but you keep warm better if you wear clothes. The same is true for atmospheres. I do not deny, not in the least, that the sun heats the planet. But the planet's atmosphere greatly affects how much of the heat from the sun stays here. If the atmosphere changes, so does the so-called "greenhouse effect".
I never posed as a scientist. I may have used scientific language, but I do that for accuracy, not for claiming that I have a PhD, as if it were relevant.
-
@perpiotrredman ??? 1) The sun does heat the planet and is the primary source for heating our planet, it is not a hypothesis. 2) We are currently in a cooling trend, not a warming trend. 3) You are a posing as a scientist but know not what you speak (or write). I have a PhD in Physics and Mathematics and can spot a phony from a mile away.

@perpiotrredman - No I don't agree C02 regulates atmospheric temps. It follows rises in temp. not in sync or ahead of rises. Which means temps rise cause a rise in C02. The question is: what is causing the rise in temps to being with? The overriding answer is simple: its part global trends and sun activity. This is NOT as hot as its been. Historical data says otherwise. Explain viking settlements on Greenland. At one time it was not covered in ice. It was obviously a warmer period than today.

@RocktheStageNYC At least you finally agree that CO2 regulates atmospheric temperature, rather than simply following it. Albedo matters too, of course.
I wonder what makes you say CO2 levels have been higher in preinstrumental times. I suppose that means you trust ice core readings as they pertain to carbon dioxide levels. But do you trust them when ice cores say this is as hot as the planet ever has been?
Temperature and CO2 have always varied naturally. This time, they don't.
-
@perpiotrredman - Cloud cover does more to regulate planet temperature than C02. There is NO concrete evidence that CO2 increases surface temperature to any detrimental degree. Rises in CO2 levels FOLLOW rises in temperature. So whats causing the temp rise in the first place? CO2 levels have bee higher in the past before 20th century industry. So what caused that rise in levels?
Simple fact - temps & CO2 levels rise naturally - always have and always will. Nothing we do can stop that.
-
@RocktheStageNYC Not to mention that clouds actually increase the planet's albedo, reflecting more sunlight back into space so that less of the heat gets trapped down here. But the main differences between water vapour are these:
- Carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere much, much longer than water vapour does.
- Human industry hasn't been burning water but has increased the level of carbon dioxide from 281 parts per million (pre-industry), to 388 (2010).

@RocktheStageNYC Rain.
Global warming is a lie!!!!!!!!!!!!

CO2 is a trace gas in the atmosphere and far less an influence than say ...hmmm WATER VAPOR. Now try to ban that.
The ONLY reason C02 has been singled out is because its something humans create in the atmosphere. Humans account for less than 5% of the CO2 in the atmosphere. Where's the other 95+% coming from? Huh?
FACT: CO2 levels following a rise in temps. Not the other way around.
