I've heard the original recording of this song from 1904. It makes me laugh to myself. The Internet, jet plane, texting, penicillin, the Kardashian products, the Arthur Miller plays, FDR's leadership, laser surgery, ATMs, bullet trains, atomic energy, television, and everything else that has "improved" the experience of life in the last 108 days has not changed the truth of this song.

@Force170 So true. I watched a show on the making of Boardwalk Empire, and they said that they actually had to hire forensic anthropologists and music historians to find the authentic music from that time, because so much of it had been lost. Many of the songs on the show are only now being heard for the first time since the 20's because their team is uncovering them through very intensive research.

Many thanks

@MaxB6851 To clarify/be more specific, it's Stephen DeRosa, who plays Eddie Cantor on the show.

God, I love this show. The music makes the show so much better too. All this great music I probably would never hear if it weren't for this show.
