My attempt at a slow moody jazz standard. Written in 1940 by Jimmy Van Heusen, a big hit for Sinatra.

  • wow man, this is really awesome!! I love how you played it like a ballad, I think it suits the melody much better than a med. swing tempo.

  • @THEspindoctor84 ..thanks, appreciated ... I think the slowness of it enables the colour to be brought out in the chords .. and that applies to a lot of standards, I think.

  • beautiful rendition....

  • @lessthan427 I don't get many views on this one, so really glad to get your comment, thankyou :-)

  • Thanks for such a lovely comment Andre - yes you must make yourself familiar with this song, it's actually much more flippant and light-hearted than I made it sound. Strangely, I listened to a version on here a few weeks ago by 'Istathehalfabee' (find him...and it!!) and I thought then that I could 'hear' you singing it.

  • I came here just because of the title. Sounds funny to me. I don´t know if the song is funny itself really but it sounds so lighthearted. I love the lightness of being and I love that song. I have to listen to the original when I get back home. I´d like to sing it, I like the very old stuff. Great playing, well as usual. Such feeling for fine art. Great Shaun. Cheers. André :-)

  • so nice, thanks!
