I did exactly what you did and i installed mod loader put into my minecraft.jar folder and clicked minecraft to start it up and i gives me a black screen. i really dont get it, please can you help me ?

@Mario60665 Double click the minecraft Launcher then right beside the "Username:"
Section click options then click "Force update" and login to minecraft

I have OSX Lion and the "Show package contents" option isn't available to me :(

For those who are saying they don't have these folders on their mac....
You are looking in /library/frameworks, not in /system/library/frameworks
I made the same mistake. :)
