@HeavenandtheEarth Interesting...just did the master cleanse for 40 days and have been getting edema myself. Had some during and before, but more after I finished. I suspect it is more of a kidney issue which can't handle the toxic load you released. Not as big a problem while u were fasting but now that ur eating again it has to handle that too. Let me know if you find any info on that. I will do the same.
@AlloFmyLovEtoU Hi there, I had it pretty bad, it started after about a week of using herbs, I was on fruit before that for a couple of weeks. High temperature, vomiting, aching body, anxiety, general pain, dizziness etc. It was bad, but felt very good after. I slowed it down by eating cooked food, then went back to detox and got sick again almost as bad as the first time. Have not experiences anything like that since. My both healing crisis lasted for a few days each. It's a ride,but worth it.
Hello Dr. Morse! I have a question about fasting. You have spoken about fasting several times, and I know you use the Master Cleanse for your clients and you like fruit fasting the best. I am fasting for spiritual reasons for 40 days and I decided to do the Master Cleanse for my fast. I did a 21 day water fast in the spring, and it was one heck of a ride! 3 days later I had edema in both legs (went away w/compression socks & elevation) & slight tingling in toes ever since. Could use advise.
hey everyone, could you share your experiences with healing crisis. What happened? How long did it last? How long after you started the herbs did you experience the first crisis? I know everybody's different, just curious..
I think that you can't go wrong with purchasing cases of apples. Makes a tasty juice, a powerful astringent, and should be the best value for your dollar. I add a little ginger in there for flavor.
Unfortunately, grapes are expensive this time of year.
I could definitely do a fruit juice fast on say like oranges. But adding grapes, it would cost me 11 dollars a day.
I already have experimented with a 3 day juice feast. I am planning on doing a much longer juice feast next time. But next time, oranges will be the staple, and hopefully I can get by with a few grapes.

@hunterlester
what I would do first is do fruit juice fast for a few days to lower your metabolism. Then I would do the water fast.
I wouldn't go immediately into a water fast. You might lose huge amounts of weight the first day.

You're right. I am warmed by the advice, thank you. I have been water fasting today, and so far it has been a stable experience.

Grapefruits are also easy on the pocketbook.

because of the fear, it may then be an unhealthy practice to go into the water fasting.
Don't be plagued with fear. Until you stop having fear, refrain from doing the water fast.
If you however do the water fast, you might want to begin the practice of meditation WHILE you're fasting to help with fears.
