A song using only True Pianos Amber module included in SONAR 8. True pianos is not a sampler but a fully modeled synth, so you get all the natural aspects of a piano across the entire octave and velocity ranges.

  • Roland V-Piano sounds better, but it costs $6000.

So this is an amazing software considering its size and price.

  • This VSTi is outstanding. I recently upgraded my Sonar Producer to version 8 and am loving the new piano sound. It makes me want to get back into learning to read sheet music.

    BTW great playing.

  • Thanks a lot for the videos, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on inserting different controllers/values in the PRV, I can only seem to modify velocity, but I'd like to learn how to alter the other values as well, thanks in advance.

  • @cougarten I already bought a midi controler! uffff it is great, but i'm still looking for a truepiano vst like sonar (catewalk i dont know) i had that vst but it was a demo so now it doesnt work.

  • "True pianos is not a sampler but a fully modeled synth"

    wait what

  • @nyckjack you can, but it sucks :)

buy a midi2usb adapter for under 10 bucks!

  • i need to know if i can use the computer keyboard as piano, i dont hace the midi cable to connect mi piano in the computer

  • @marabino18 I surprise you have good tools but still not know how to use. Use MIDI USB or cable (if you are using the old one) to connect the controller to the computer. Enable the MIDI input inside Sonar. When you play the controller then the vst should play also.

  • Wow I'm gonna replace this with the EWQL Piano, it takes half of the CPU runtime.

  • if you listen to some of the other piano simulators like alcias keys or akustick piano by ni, they have a much more detailed sound on the bass keys.

  • Hi, I have sonar 8, also I have a M-audio oxygen 61 midi keyboard. how can I play the Vst instrument tru piano with my keyboard. Can you please tell us the steps to go trough? Thanks in advance. btw nice playing
