If you have always wanted to play you should go out and get yourself a real guitar I've played for 7 years and it really doesn't take a whole lot of work to become a OK player on the guitar and wow your friends with some songs they like.

@THEALLSTARMLB2009 this game is played with a real guitar. this isn't a game like rock band or guitar hero that uses a fake plastic button 'guitar'. you use a real electric guitar.

@ChaosmanEXE1 capture cards aren't that expensive. the one i have is a higher end model that records in HD, but you can get a really cheap dazzle that will record in standard def, which is more than acceptable for this game. =D

this reminds me of my first attempt at playing guitar, which i shall add was very bad...(no offense intended),and i have been playing for 4 years.think this is a good idea, you know since this is your first time playing guitar. You just gained a subscriber good sir. Hope by episode 100 you will be a guitar god!

i just want this to help learn to shred solos...only crappy thing i see is there is not any metal..grundge is the only "heavy" choices....but hey at least they threw in nirvana!!..cant wait to plug the warbeast into it!!

@jmont2608 yes you do i actually play in a band. i picked this up as a ok lets see kinda thing. been playing since it came out and i notice that ive become even better at playing big things that use to trip me up arent any more it like im learning from a teacher in a way

@jmont2608 Don't bother explaining man. The kid has nothing to back up any of his playing if you take a look at his channel. Tbh I think your level may already match his "7 years". Anyways keep it up man. I'm trying to see if I can get a copy of rocksmith so I can make a review being a bit more seasoned of a guitar player but, from the IGN review it's told me basically that It wont really improve any of my playing so I'm kind of in a pickle.

I really think this series is a good idea, I have been playing guitar for a while but when i heard all of the reviews for this, I wanted to check it out. This will give me the perfect chance to do just that, and everyone else wanting to know if it works can gauge it by this. I'm betting that this is going to be a great test and overview for the game.
