does anyone know what video he is speaking about when he says Fender building link and speaker enclosure?

This kind of work is so easy. Wax the shit out of your mould, apply a bit of resin over it all before the first layer of glass or whatever so you get an even saturation within the material, apply layers but make sure you have sufficient resin between layers. Roll ALL air out (but make sure you don't over saturate and fuck the glass or core), leave excess resin or screet off with a rubber screet.

How can I get in contact with you? I posted a thread at the BARF community in hopes to reach you. Please contact me back.

Is it possible you could make a list of how much to use of different materials to make the tank and mold. From the barf forrum. :)

best tutorial here for sure....

swine project!

can you suggest a book or guide complete with materials and equipment needed to fabricate carbon fiber?
thanks in advance!

You could make the entire freakin' car out of carbon fiber if you wanted to........and had some time. Just check out the cars of the American Le Mans series (is that still around, anyone? not kept up). The only things NOT carbon fiber on those cars were the drive trains and a few other parts.

Jeez. That's awesome.
It would probably be a daunting task, though.

of course! You can make almost anything with carbon fiber.
hi mate, i was wondering did he/you gelcoat the carbon parts before laying up?

Thanks for watching. Nope. Since it was just a "practice" workshop, we just put resin on the carbon fiber & on the mold. I was told we could've gelcoated 1st.

Where's a good place to purchase PVA for mold casting as shown in this video? Would you find it at a place like Lowe's or would I have to search through specialty shops?

you can try fibreglast (note spelling)if there's nothing local. Maybe others have suggestions for better places.

how long does he leave the epoxy and pva to set before laying up?, because when i finished the lay up the wax sort peeled off(stuck to the cf part lol)

pva: wait until dull (dry)- just a few minutes.
epoxy: can take all day/depends on air temp. wait until fully dry.
