There was a radio station in Gainesville, Georgia that sounded very similar to Power99 in Atlanta called WGGA 101.9 The HEAT. I enjoyed listening to that station back in the early 1990's. I took the airchecks that I have from my old cassette tapes and put them into a single file. The tapes are from around 1990-1991. I don't know what their logo used to look like. They switched to a Hispanic station in 1993.
Yeah, I like that Lake Lanier islands spot too, just wished I had it in higher quality. I don't have any Star94 airchecks from that era, sorry.

Thanks for the info. In my area it was only around for a couple of years. I remember the day 101.9 became "The Heat" they played "The Heat is On" by Glenn Frey over and over.

"The Heat" was a Top 40/CHR format offered by Satellite Music Network out of Dallas, TX from the late 80's to about late 1992 when the format was changed to Hot AC. I did get a few "Heat Me" bumper stickers from SMN, which.sadly I gave away to a friend several years ago.

That Lake Lanier islands spot really takes me back. I guess for a little while Gwinnett, Hall, and Forsyth counties had a third CHR before Power died shortly after. Would you happen to have any Star 94 airchecks from that same era by any chance?
