  • Very good presentation.

  • Sproul Sr., while denying the theology of Aquinas, has unwittingly accepted his apologetic methodology; namely, evidential or classical apologetics.

That fact notwithstanding, Sproul has been a significant influence on many reformed laity, myself included. Sproul was the first reformed theologian I listened to on the radio. That was my introduction to Calvinism. His radio ministry is one of the best available.

If it weren't for R.C. Sproul, I may not be a Calvinist today. Soli Deo Gloria!

  • I don't know how 'unwitting' Sproul's acceptance has been. He knows what he is doing.

  • Huh? Have you listened to his audio on Aquinas?

I definitely have my frustrations about his son, but he was excommunicated for infant communion and not anything connected to Federal Vision. I am not sure that you are aware of what you are even saying here. Federal Vision is something that came out of the Auburn 5 (e.g. Douglas Wilson). There is no connection with Sproul, and he has been very clear that justification is by faith alone without equivocation.

  • What is heretical specifically about Aquinas? If you throw out an accusation back it up!

  • You really need to look up the term heresy. The deffition is not just something one person doesn't believe in. It has historical meanings and historical standards.
