@ambienttechno What fantastic expression SV has. I was reminded of the line 'words are too solid they don't move fast enough, to catch the blur of the brain...' when I recently saw a scientist try talk to one of his research students who took ecstasy and said as he got high, "I think I could tell God a thing or two." ...

I won't use words again They don't mean what I meant They don't say what I said They're just the crust of the meaning With realms underneath Never touched Never stirred Never even moved through If language were liquid It would be rushing in Instead here we are In a silence more eloquent Than any word could ever be

@ItSpeaksToMe, this is great news. What a beautiful song, with a great set of lyrics. I had never heard this live version before. So hypnotic and wonderful...

If language were a liquid it would be rushing in. Instead here we are
in a silence more eloquent than any words could ever be. These words
are too solid, they don't move fast enough, to catch the blur in the brain
as it flies by and is gone. - Suzanne Vega

This is my favourite Suzanne Vega song. I spoke to her after her Cadogan hall gig in London this June (2010) and she said a rereording of this will be on her third "unplugged" CD which will be called "States of Being".
