UberPulse: What was the idea behind the acquisition of Montalvo?
Jonathan Schwartz: So we are in a global hunt for talent and we hire talent wherever we can identify it and whatever zip code, geography or an age group. We're indifferent about everything except how clever and how bright folks are. So when people show up and they've got talent and the capacity to innovate we're interested in hiring them. That's exactly what happened with Montalvo.
As you know we have a fairly large microelectronics team. We're one of the few in the marketplace that actually can build integrated silicon innovations and then build differentiated systems as a result of that. We're going to continue building out that capacity.
UberPulse: Do you plan to use any IP coming out from them?
J.S.: We haven't made clear exactly, you know, what we're going to do with the team, and again, when we hire folks around the world we don't start by saying we're going to hire them to go do X or Y necessarily. We want good, clever, smart folks. I mean, frankly the number of folks in the world who have microelectronics expertise is fairly small. So when they show up we're pretty aggressive alongside some of our peers in the marketplace in going after them.
