Pikachu gets a visit from Ash: Pokemon Parody

We all know about "dog years". Same goes for many animals, even Pokemon. Here a teenage Ash goes to visit his old friend Pikachu at a retirement home.

I want to thank my son for fleshing out my story. The dialog was his... I imagine it makes a lot more sense to those that are fans of Pokemon. Also, my son did a great job on the voices. We were really busting up when he was in front of the mic.

to give his interpretation of a college age Ash and an old Pikachu. Though I chose to plump up Ash, his drawings were a big help, and made me laugh when I saw them (always a good sign in making cartoons).

The is a lot of "inside baseball" in this vid. There is a reference to giving kids seizures while blowing up missiles. Apparently in an episode of Pokemon, there were several rapidly flashing lights that induced seizures in many Japanese children. The authorities traced it back to that episode and has since been banned.

Yes, you are correct.

I did some animation (Ducks Playing Duck Hunt) with youtuber TheAnimationEmpire and he had me put a Mario doll in the scene. Many people liked that, so I decided to do similar things in other animations... thing is, most people seem bugged by my use of the "Griffin's" living room. I've learned that not all ideas go over well.

Yeah, I went overboard there. In other videos I've placed little things that people would notice and comment on... I thought the Griffin living room would be funny, but it really just distracts people. Live and learn.
