The reason this video is not widescreen is because it was recorded using skype(screen share) and most likely screen captured.

At least power consumption is an issue at some point, so I guess I have to be glad. All that eye candy may be sexy for developers and new users, but old IT farts like me tend to disable any animation after having to watch them 5 to 10 times. We have fast machines, guys. Don't let them look slow again.
