  • Great review. One question, I always like the modules that BOX or HIGHLIGHT what the DM should read. Does this module have that feature?

  • You mean the stuff the DM is supposed to read aloud? Yeah, it has that. Otherwise, this is designed to be viewed by the DM only, and just has one packet of basic rules for the players to read, so I guess as far as content, the DM should be reading the whole thing!

  • please review dungeon delve.

  • I'm actually having trouble finding that one. I like to take a look at my source materials before I purchase them, but I can't find that one online for some reason (though I believe I have literally EVERY other 4e book released so far in .pdf) and we don't have a bookstore here in my tiny town. I'm interested in it myself though. It sounds very useful for between-campaign interludes, one shots, etc. Thanks for the request. I'm glad you liked this review enough to ask for another!! :-D

  • Thanks for the review. I just got the core rule books, the dungeon masters screen, "Keep on Shadowfell", and Dungeons and Dragons 4E for Dummies (cause I am) a few weeks back all for under $100. Not a bad deal.

I haven't played since AD&D and am looking to get back into the game as a way to introduce my 15 year old step-son to D&D. I would greatly appreciate any words of advice or pointers on how to run the game and the basic mechanics of play. Thanks and look forward to your reply.

  • The players guide actually outlines the basic mechanic in the first chapter, and its actually fairly clear. Try that out first.

As far as running the game, something I've had to figure out is, don't worry about knowing all the rules. If you're faced with something and don't know exactly how it works right then, make up something that seems fair, and then look it up later. Don't stop the game when everyone is having fun to go digging through books. You can always change things later.

    Have fun!

  • I got this module. When you start exploring the keep there is no postermap, why?

  • Great review but I have one question. Is there anyway to download the story and the maps, I dont have a hobby store anywhere close to me and I realllly want to get this to play with my friends. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!!

  • how many sesions did u take to finish this adeventure?

Ive recently bought this box and Id like to know also how did it go :)

  • Modules dont usually come with miniatures, They are stories that you play with, But you can buy the starter set which come with Cardboard tokens, But there are aloooot of game shops that sell miniatures, Vintage stock if you want to pay out the ass, but I buy mine from Amazon now, 25 minis for $17

  • @arihyoshixbl He said a foot a pane, so each pane is one foot.

  • &arihyoshixbl - Wow, he said a foot per panel, you do the math (1x4 = ?). I still haven't opened mine yet though, but I need to get a dm screen :).

  • I kind of just want the maps. I need maps.

  • lol a foot, more like close to 3, if your 6ft then look how much of your body it take up hahaha, do the math.

  • Do you sudjest this to new players, like completely new players. Even the DM is a new player.

  • do you think you can do a review on open graves
