October 4, 2008. Made entirely with a Canon SD800IS using CHDK firmware. Individual frames compiled to video using mencoder. Edited with iMovie.

Sure! This is what worked for me -- motion jpeg in an avi container.

mencoder "mf://*.JPG" -mf fps=10 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mjpeg -o movie.avi
