Who owns 'Big Oil?' It might not be who you think. As Congress debates national energy policy, a new study finds that ownership of oil and natural gas company shares is made up of a broad cross section of Americans. API's John Bisney interviews people on New York City's famed Wall Street to pose the question.

  • 1.5%... if you told me that, I would have to say your a liar.

  • Pension Plans and Mutual funds run by the fat cat rich white guys who own the majority of the shares. Seriously flawed research. Mutual funds and pension plans have become ponzi schemes wherein the small-time suckers get to feel like they're getting wealthy until a panic happens. Meanwhile the wealthy get to here in advance about trouble so they can withdraw their money before, and re-invest at the low points. The middle class is being screwed into poverty.

  • Where does this money go anyway, I really want to know, for real, someone answer.

  • This video is shady. I find it interesting that this video just so happen to be in a bunch of other videos when I searched GM's EV1 car.

  • I bet that this John Bisney guy is a millionaire.

  • This video was made by Energy Tomorrow.

It is made by big oil.

    From their website

"API is the only national trade association that represents all aspects of America's oil and natural gas industry. Our 400 corporate members, from the largest major oil company to the smallest of independents, come from all segments of the industry. They are producers, refiners, suppliers, pipeline operators and marine transporters, as well as service and supply companies that support all segments of the industry."

  • you need to think. how did Mr Bush with little time in government get in? Now ask your self, who has as little time in the government as Bush? so its not propaganda. It voters. They need to be given a test to let vote. You get what you vote for. Oil companies are not the big fat cat any more that the government in the USA is bad or broken! Not when you think! Why did Obama thank the government, for his wife and his life being possible due to the government?

  • Wow propaganda works.

  • yet they make "gross" $18,000,000,000 every 3 months.. sounds like a lot of control to me..

  • There is nothing wrong with big oil. People often ingore all the good things they do. The oil companies do not control the price.
