  • DO my eyes deceive me. or is that actually a weight on the leeward foil outrigger? First I've ever heard of needing to ballast your leeward rail.. .Pretty cool

  • No your eyes are spot on. That little dollup of sand 1/4 or so oz of sand is to off set the weight of the Aframe and that square ourtrigger seemingly floating to windward which was used with a longer ama/hull to test a different designs. Balnaced properly it would need no weight on either side when staitc or sailing.
