  • @11xzxzxz Search for "The Early 1960s - A Time of Innocence" and go to 10:20. It's a VERY early performance of "I Ain't Marchin' Anymore" in a coffee house. Later in that same video, there's "Talkin' Cuban Crisis" in the background. (The whole series is actually really good, if you're interested in that era.)

  • @nancyzeetoo Here's a snippet from an interview with Phil conducted by Izzy Young (of Broadside Magazine) right after Phil returned to New York from the Chicago Convention:

IZZY: Is there any country where you see a possibility of human advancement?

PHIL: I think Mao could be the most important man going in the world right now.

  • @liam12 can you have that person send more?

  • He was a rebel poet who sung his poems with a guitar...

  • A lot of videos of Phil on YT (who put out better records than Dylan) are cut short like his life. And I thought death sells. The video of Changes doesn't last long enough to change and it sucks. This video at least gives you a feel of what Phil was like. Download Phil Ochs in Concert ..it's his best work.

  • @gothpapa I just found it -- cool! I'm going to comment further over there.

  • @Treebard You are welcome. Always glad to shed light into dark corners (;-)). did you have a chance to view my "Campus Scenes 1965" video?

  • @gothpapa Thanks for the info!! I recognize Orton Hall!!! Of course, Phil had roots here in Columbus. Thanks again, interesting.

  • This was filmed at a Free Speech Rally held in the spring of 1965 on The Oval at the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio. The building in the background is Orton Hall. I filmed some of this event in 8mm -- no sound (:-(( -- and you can see it if interested in the "Videos Without Trains" playlist at my channel. This little clip was probably news footage -- you can see a news cameraman in my video.

  • Well Phil's voice is too loud and the sound isn't good here but he was a beautiful man and deserves more than 15 second videos.
