I got my camera placed a little too close to my amp so sound quality isn't the best, but you get the idea. Also I apologize for not playing worth a piss, but one can tell by watching this demo how this guitar sounds in the hands of an amateur. Try to visualize how great it could sound if you could play worth a piss. On ebay 8/2009.

  • Hello LoFi,

Just curious what you ended up getting for this great guitar?

I'm kinda just scoping the mkt to see what I can pick one up for.

I see one on Ebay with a high bid of $255.

    Did you revamp/repair the pickups?

    Thanks for posting!

  • @saikidd

I'm real late here, I don't check youtube very often. It sold for around 400 if I remember right.

  • you didn't highlight the mute. Oh yeah I bought mine in the 70's for 15 bucks from a friend. Long gone and missed.

  • @shirtshine73blitz I used the mute, hard to listen to me till the end I suppose!

  • I have a Spectrum 220, not nearly as nice as the one in the video, but it's sweet. Through a cranked Fender is how these things sound best.

  • This guitar is so georgous!

  • That super bassie positon is pretty darn cool.

I can actually make an American Strat sound pretty bad myself :)

    All a matter of opinion.

  • @LoFiTransmissions @your reply to D0oD0oBrain:

Jack White plays (played?) an Airline Res-o-Glass. It was a $200 plastic guitar from the 60s/70s for beginners. Anybody can play an American Strat and make it sound okay. It takes a real guitarist to play a cheap, old, guitar and make it sing. Hound Dog Taylor was a blues guitarist who recorded his albums on Teisco guitars in the early 70s. This guitar is my dream guitar, and I'm damn set on learning to make it sing and weep with me when I get one.

  • sounds great with distortion

  • I wonder how it would do with fuzz?
