My first expirament with making my own hair care blend, for my newly grown out natural hair.
I'm using 4 oils from the Sunflower company: Grape Seed-which give very rich minerals to hair and scalp.
Carrot & Aloe oil: Carrot oil is great for the hair as it norishes and helps prevent hair loss and does wonders for hair growth!
Really my over processed areas (bald spots) are already growing in thick!
Olive Oil: hydrates and helps keep good moisture balance, gives elasiticty and a natural shine.
And final Raw Shea Butter Oil:
What dosen't Shea Butter do?! Moisturizes, helps prevent weather damage and brittleness, while repairing hair and soothing scalp.

This is my first concoction:
15% Grape seed oil, 15% olive oil, 30% carrot & aloe oil, an 40% Raw Shea Butter oil.
So far hair is growing well, my natural hair cuurls into tight spirals that look an feel great. Though to be honest I think my next concoction will have less Raw shea butter oil and alittle more grape seed and Olive oil, with my hair moisturized I thin the next batch should be geared more twords keeping it balanced and with minerals-I'll keep you posted!

  • Where in paterson did you get your products from?

  • I got these in Miami, just go to the hair and beauty supply store where ever you are and they should have these or something simular.

  • I have those same oils! I don't particularly like the "oily" smell they have, so I added a little rose water. I also have some ylang ylang and rosemary essential oils that you can add (either all together, or separately) and that helped take away that smell.

  • Thanks for the suggestion!

  • you know i started buying these same oils when i went natural. as a matter of fact i just got the carrot and vitamin E, and i have olive and shea. i never thought to just mix them all together, but i will try and see

  • I mix a little at a time, so that I can address whatever my hair is doing at that point in time, it's a very finicky eater.lol.

  • If these were 99cents each they are not 100% pure. It is better to purchase oils at a Ntural market or health food store.

  • I didn't mean it the way you may have taken it, i was just saying that alot of companies claim that their products are all natural and there is no way of really knowing. I choose to buy organic everything for my own personal reasons and if you do the research, it is better for your body as a whole. To each his or her own, i was just wondering because i rarely see true pure oils or products in local beauty supplies (and i do look). Who wants to pay tons of money, but you get what you pay for too.

  • @ShawnaANDElroy - huh/

  • ALSO, these products are completely fine because they have all natural ingredients, you don't have to spend tons of money just for healthy hair, trust me.

  • THIS IS SOOOO FUNNY! because i JUST bought the same exact products today! crazzyy! lol

  • @TrueZeal true shyt

  • @ClassiJazz no they don't have these wat they have similar isn't similar bcuz they are fake with trace amounts of the good and a lot of the bad petrolatum, mineral oil, lanolin oil, alcohols, etc. u r lucky and they were only 99c.

  • i tryed all these oilsand they work great

  • I prefer to buy food grade or organic when possible. I avoid the beauty store as much as possible when making my natural hair products. Grapeseed and virgin olive oil can be found at Walmart. I prefer grapeseed over olive because grapeseed has more nutrients. Shea and carrot essential oil can be found online, (mountainroseherbs com) or at a natural health store like whole foods or gnc. Try other oils cocoa butter, mango or coconut instead of shea. You might like it better. :)

  • i would love to purchase these tubes, but can't find them anywhere. sally's don't sell these. does anyone know of a place online that sell these tubes?
