We don't hate god. How can we hate something with no sufficient evidence. We hate religion. Infact, we hate any organisation that teaches violence, hate and anti-scientific facts.

The pope did resign, finally the enemy of humanity resigned from the Catholic Church. Emperor Palpatine would curse his catholic twin for this. But atheists got what we wanted. The pope has resigned.

Brilliant, poignant… Dawkins is a God – even a handful of them in one soul.

    I've read 33,000 or 38,000 or 41,000.

Who knows? Maybe just saying 30,000 is a safe bet.

I wonder if some people who don't attend a church but have their own practice or way of thinking might count.

I think most would agree that Mormonism/LDS is another religion though related. A spinoff.

A few days ago I heard from the World Mission Society Church of god who believe in god the father and god the mother. That was interesting.

They can't even agree on the Biblical canon.

66 or 73 books or what.

I know what Dawkins wants: Attention, and for the gullible to buy his books and watch him hawk his books on tv. If he is retired then he should go tend to the roses in his garden, let the strongest fight it out. Old men have outlived their natural use. In Nature the old are worthless. Even Ratzinger retired in favor of a younger man. See? Even the old pope knew the ways of nature.

thats all good, but you can come to those conclusions/beliefs without following this man .. whose obviously convinced you anyone of different beliefs than yours are somehow your "enemy" .. thats just as poisonous as the religion you describe. I'm not questioning your atheism, I'm saying you might be just as 'deluded' as before, deluded into thinking others are your enemies for no good reason

Difference is that Stalin and Mao didn't kill people because they were christians, but because they saw them as threat to their regime, while religions encourage you to hate/kill other people if they are "infidel" Please stop making this hugely false comparison. No atheist ever said that we should kill people because they are theists.

    I swear to you no.

I spent months seriously thinking over religion from every single angle when I was struggling with my own thoughts.

My own life, science, education, LGBT, women, morals, laws, family, the world, peace, divisiveness, indoctrination, and much more.

It is complete POISON. I was afraid to think about a lot of this, I thought about hell, I thought about science, I was afraid of god, I struggled so much with trying to stay religious.
