This seems as usefull as the CCW badge. Wouldn't bad guys be able to get one of there and walk around with it. If you need to pull your gun out, be ready to drop it once the bad guy is secure and put your hands on your head till the cops get there. I don't think they'd much care for; guy with gun plus lanyard/fake badge. No need for this thing I don't think.

Good advice for when the bad guy is secure and the cops get there. The problem is when you are dragging your family out of a chaotic situation where active shooters/terrorist are all over as well as police. You better have your gun at ready and hope that both sides don't have their sights on you. I dont like the CCW badge either (I'm a cop) but I dont want to shoot the good guys in the chaos.

I conceal carry. Let me say that again...I CONCEAL carry. If I wanted everyone to know I carry, I would open carry, not wear a lanyard as a flag.

Well youve got it half right. NO ONE should know when you are concealed carrying but when the SHTF and youve got it ib your hand you better do somthing to help me and all the other cops on scene know that you ARE NOT the bad guy. We make flash decisions off quick body scans. Good luck

I carry concealed and have to say that I don't see any need for this whatsoever. I count this along the same lines as a CCW badge. A responding officer is going to consider you a threat on first contact (assuming you have your weapon drawn) whether you are wearing this or not.

I'm a law enforcement officer and without a doubt, these people are right. When I arrive on scene and I see ANYBODY with a gun in their hand and they aren't in law enforcement, believe me, they WILL be getting on the ground. I don't care if they have the CCW badge or ID. The best thing you can do in a situation where the cops are called is to lay your firearm on the ground or secure it in your vehicle. I can tell you now, I don't have a problem shooting someone who has a CCW badge on.

I can't see how people are equating this with a CCW shield, its totally different AND STATE ISSUED. I don't care who you are, anyone, cop or not, if you have a gun in your hand and no ID, you will instantly be that "man with a gun" everyone is so afraid of. It isn't meant to be worn outside the shirt all the time. Jesus, use your heads...

@AirsofterCanada So you feel safe with a law that says you can't carry at all?! So then when you're being assaulted you can be sure the only one with a gun will be the guy assaulting you. No chance for you or another law abiding citizen to stop the attacker. Yeah, that makes me feel safe too! You're a fool, you should feel safer knowing that the people around you, and you for that matter (if you so choose) are carrying and are able to protect themselves and others. Gun control costs lives!

That badge will do nothing to stop the cops from seeing you as an active shooter. Just comply with the commands and all will be fine once they feel secure.

@AirsofterCanada First, I'm not "allowed" to carry my handgun; it's my RIGHT to carry a handgun. Tennessee is a "shall issue" state. That being said, my guess is that if you find yourself being brutalized by some douchebag who is illegally armed you'll change your position pretty quick....
