Yes, increasing access to things like MSAs, risk pools, and buying insurance across state lines may help SOME people with HC expenses, but it still won't do much for the vast majority of folks who truly need it in the end. Won't do much to really curb costs, either. I mean, if you're a low-income American, what good is a fucking MSA?? If you've got little to spend to begin with, and you have all these bills to pay, you're not gonna accrue a helluva lot in one of those accounts.

The only reason that Republicans are even PROPOSING so-called alternatives to Obama or Dems' HC reform is because he finally brought it up and we had a serious debate on the issue. If McCain was elected, there probably would've been no HC reform fight! McCain would just continue to ignore the issue, and as much as Dems would try, he'd block all attempts. We'd have to get a Congressional veto override, which is incredibly difficult.
Piecemeal GOP approaches don't do much anyway.

For Republicans, "start over" really means "go back to the pre-HC reform bill status of doing nothing" essentially. I mean, if it weren't for Obama BRINGING THIS UP AGAIN and proposing a bill, you guys would have sat on your hands and DONE NOTHING about HC costs, fraud, etc.!! You did nothing for the 12 years you were in power as the Congressional majority, and you KILLED Clinton's plan! The only potentially viable plan before Obama, and you stopped it. Shame
