  • @chrismallyon I, know what your going through. Mine started at around your age. After 20+ years of pain, ( age now 51) I, only got it under control in the last 2y., It starts in the big toe, then knees. elbow, wrists and fingers. Any joint that shows wear. Just wondering, colchicine} and {allopurinol} you might wont to try meloxicam 15mg or some sort of ant-inflammatory medication . check with GP with first. You can vary Colchine up to 3 times a day check with GP, because it can give you trots.

  • Wish my GP was as understanding as this guy.

I only drink one pint of bitter a week, i dont eat red meats, and im on colchicine and allopurinol.

Yet, i suffer terrible, had it in left foot for 12 weeks, just gone, and re-appeared in my right 3 days ago... bloody agony i tell ya.

Had it for years, and im only 37.

  • Hi everyone, my name is Justin and I wanted to give you some information about a research study for people who have had 2 or more gout attacks in the past year. If you qualify and consent to take part, the study team will evaluate your gout to optimize your long-term treatment. Everyone who takes part in the study will be asked to take gout medications, including allopurinol, with the study sponsor reimbursing the costs of these medicines. To get more information visit goutstudy com.

  • @MysticKnight38 make that urinate lots.... not lost.... us just wish it was lost...lol

  • I just drink lots of water, even during an attack. 8oz ever 15 minutes, but don't use refrigerated water.... unless you like hypothermia.... trust me, I did that ones. Longest time to clear a full blown attack 4 hours. Only down side... you urinate lost.

  • i have gout
