Super Metroid Golden Dawn Segment 6 Part III

A "rough speed run" of Golden Dawn (which is a hack of Super Metroid) made by Black Telomeres aka Bloody Excerment. The speed run will consist of six segments. The game is played relatively quickly and not using anything tool assisted. Edited and uploaded by Volus X.

This is the last video for this segment and for Golden Dawn. I enjoyed uploading these videos and I hope you viewers enjoyed watching them.

Having played about half of the game (and mind you, I watched all of these vids to BEGIN WITH)... I can say that this is a very badly done hack. The levels are intricate, but too much so; the rooms are gigantic and there is NO WAY you would be able to know all of the exits and secret walls without watching this. And the escape sequence... throwing Ridley in? Fucking up your timer? That's bullshit.

I like a lot of the tricks he used, but overall this is ridiculous. Try Legacy.

@Indacelio I agree completely. IMO this hack should be removed from the 'A-list'. You might be amused to know that the person playing in these vids, afaik, is the author of the hack. So ergo, the player in the video KNOWS WHERE EVERYTHING IS. You try playing this hack, you're going to get f*cked up the ass, badly. I consider myself a fairly good player, and getting past the bosses, to the countdown, is not especially hard. IF you know where to go. But you don't get the x-ray scope. Ever.

i beat legacy, and it was fun, but i like the complexity of this one, it makes it a challenge, and takes a good several hours to beat. I felt like I actually acomplished some amazing feat when i beat this game

I think throwing Ridley into the escape sequence was a bit over the top though.

What the?! Ripley is boss in timer escape?! That is not make a sense, but that hacker guy is really good one make hack game. Interesting. ^_^
