@PointThree yeah, you can't just get a new singer when he is the creative center of this music. it's not someone else writes this stuff and he's just a singer for hire.

Sunny Day Real Estate and The Fire Theft and Enigk's other stuff is all great, but can be an acquired taste. I've seen Sunny Day Live a couple times, they are awesome, but J.E. has to be on his game vocally. Sunny Day Diary is one of my favorite albums ever, and that is from an era when there was still a lot of good music(bands).

If anything, it sounds like Jeremy is battling a little vocal fatigue, but still a great live performance. Have been hearing Heaven quite a bit on KNRK HD2 and it sounds like he's channeling Shannon Hoon and Freddy Mercury in that one. Good stuff. I definitely need to get their CD and check out more of Jeremy's projects.

Wtf, he slipped up a little in the beginning but he sings fine. If you don't know Sunny Day, though, it's easy you could just not be accustomed to Enigk's voice. It's very distinctive, but he's is a GREAT singer. "get a new singer," lmao, he's not just the singer, he's a brilliant songwriter too. One of the best.

sdre/jeremy enigk rocks. one of the best bands out there. jeremy's vocals are awesome. this performance doesn't do them justice. check out jeremy's solo cd called "world waits" 2 years after it came out i still listen to it all the time. amazing cd.
