@Jst0911 they push the signal going through it. Most boosts are useless though because they color your signal so much, what goes in is not the same that comes out. You want transparency in a boost pedal, and most other pedals for that matter. The Klon Centaur and the Katana are the best boost and transparent boost pedals on the market.

How do you think this would this work with an acoustic thru a PA?

@dizzack It would work OK but I use the Rothwell Atomic or F1 boosters for my acoustic. They are the most transparent boosts around and loads cheaper than the Katana.
