Try micing a guitar amp and moving the mic around and back and forth, while listening through headphones. You'll find thousands of areas with unique sonic characteristics, each one giving the guitar a different feel!

They hung mic's down chimneys and they put amps and mic's in the strangest places, all to get certain sounds.
