The Tories trying to take the focus off prisoner treatment and on to their plan to clean up the environment. The minister giving speeches and interviews all day - problem was one of those turning out to hear the message just happened to be one of the best known faces in the environmental movement.

  • Climate Change will obviously happen throughout the history of the earth. The problem, lies with the fact that humans are relentlessly performing environment altering actions as of recently [like the last hundred years or so]. The fact that we're changing the climate in such a short time span is good cause to be alarmed.

  • Well indeed there is a scientific consensus. Not all scientists in the world agree and that is to be expected. But this is an issue and should be dealt with sooner rather than later.

However, even if climate change never materializes, the steps that need to be taken to combat it are positive for the environment and economy in general.

  • there is no scientific consensus on global warming

the climate is always changing, with or without man

the medieval warm period was significantly warmer than temperatures today and it was a golden age for agriculture, innovation and lifespan

    Suzuki is a crackpot

  • It's interesting that David asked John to meet with him and his foundation. Knowing the history of the Conservatives, it makes me wonder how much professional consulting they've done. The new plan is ineffective, and the Conservatives have somehow worked out the rest of parliament from the plan. Well, the highest point in Ontario isn't far. I know where I'll be heading.
