Avra Imperial Beach Resort & Spa, Kolymbari, Crete, Greece, 2011

Posted by http://www.nostalgoteket.se We had a very pleasant stay here, in this newly built resort. The hotel was probably only at 5% capacity at the time, so it may look very different when fully booked. We had a superior room with private pool, which was very nice. It sure made me wanna consider having a pool in my own garden. The big pool at 1500 m2 was also very nice, as was the food and service. We really couldn't ask for more. Two thumbs up!

In this is also some shots from Elafonissi, A gorgeous beach well worth a visit. If you're not afraid of heights, go there by car. There are some spectacular views up in the mountains along the way.

dont be taken in by this comercial and proffesional video

i have been to this hotel and this is what i think of it as per my tripadvisor review

in shurt version

hotel's staff is indeffrent and dont really cares to help you

room are small and dank

the nicer rooms with private pools costs a fortune

food is just ... not good enough to eat at a resturant

sea side is a long long walk from the hotel - you meed to cross a village main road to get there...

pool bar is crummy and overpriced... small areas of grass and a lousy

number of sunbeds...

o they have 30 types of dinner . so what... all are bad... if i would get a

dinner like that is a stand alone resturant i would have send it to the

kitchen right away !

i dont call some olives a "slad. i dont call some cucambers sliced

with(out) some lemon juice on top a "salad" i wont even call some carrots

shreds a "salad" even if i wouln't have to put olive oil and lemon juice on

top of it myself...

while i have a very certain view on this hotel i hold it true that you can have and hold any number of illusions

concering this hotel.

suite yourself i dont really care.

but you call my opinion "bullshit" ? shame on you !

all i know is : the servise is appaling

the food is crappy

the room (usuall one mind you) is crappy small and annoyiong.

so they have a big pool. so what... no waterfalls... no water slides... pool bar is crummy and

@amotz35 That's the biggest bullshit I've ever heard! The rooms are amazing, so is the staff! The pool is huge and, the design of the hotel is unique, and the food is so incredible i gained weight everyday (You can choose from the buffee that includes around 30 types of dinner (+10-15 types of salad), and maybe 20 types of dessert) These meals are included in the price of your stay.

Avra Imperial must be in the top 10 list of hotels in Europe!
