This was a final project for my Systematic Theology 2 class led by the fantastic Dr. Micah Carter at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary - Nashville Extension Center. It was an open ended creative project that needed to tie in the Atonement. I love this song by Phil Wickham and the Passion clips were the most dynamic...some would say an honest representation of the horrific torture that our Savior went through before his death.
No matter your view on limited vs. unlimited atonement, we all can agree on one issue: that
Christ died so that each person could have the opportunity to choose to follow him. (for my opinion, you'll just have to ask me yourself) No matter what you think, keep in mind that this issue revolves around perspective. Right now you are looking at your perspective. We try to guess God's, but let's just face it, our weak and sinful natures can't fathom what it looks like to see across eternity. The real question is what are you doing with your opportunity to be a Jesus follower. My hope is that you would see the definition of true love that hung himself on a cross so that we could have eternal life. And let me just make it clear that God doesn't call believers to a boring life, not some cheesy/religious/play by some set of same religious rules...no, He calls believers to live with a reckless abandon that passionately pursues after the things that are true...while being inspired by true love.
