1 Corinthians 11:3-16 has been taught in so many ways by men, but few choose to accept what it actually says and live by it. Many take verse 16 of this eleventh chapter of 1 Corinthians as their way out of obeying what the Spirit has taught in the preceding verses. What does this text actually teach and how does it apply to the believer's life today? I pray that this video is a blessing for you and if you should have any questions please feel free to ask. I love you and am here to help you.

For those of you ladies that are wanting to obey the Lord on this issue and would like a sister to talk to about headcoverings then sister Ina, Youtube user ImDigginJesus, has a number of videos that can bless you and she would be happy to talk with you about this issue.

  • HI I AM NOT MARRIED NOR IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH A MAN, SHOULD I COVER MY HEAD AT HOME WHEN I AM PRAYING TO GOD ALONE OR JUST COVER MY HEAD IN CHURCH WHEN PRAYING TO GOD HELP ME UNDERSTAND PLEASE.

EMAIL ME AT:MISSIONARY.123456789@YAHOO.COM THANKS BROTHER GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME

  • @PRAISEWORSHIP1234567 If you read back in 1 Corinthians 7 the father is the head of an unmarried woman. If no father is present, then another male father-figure would be her head. This is all about order and submission. I would ask you to try praying with your head covered when alone or in public. I believe you will find what so many sisters have found out, that God honors it, and you will immediately feel the peace of God about it.

  • I notice a big difference between the holiness of prayer when my head is covered. I noticed in instinctively, then remembered reading it in the Bible. It just feels right,

  • @1ChristianSister Amen. A lot of sisters testify to that truth. The Holy Spirit bears witness with their spirits about headcoverings.

  • @revglt Here is what the verse actually says, and it is obviously not cultural because it appeals to NATURE not CULTURE.

    1 Corinthians 11:14

14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

It does not say, "Doth not even your culture teach you" or "Doth not even your customs teach you." As far as the Nazarites, you do not appear to understand that vow. Please read Numbers 6:1-21 for further study on that.

  • @BrotherRyanHicks

In 1 Corinthians 11:14 says it is disgraceful for a man to have long hair. How is that not cultural when Nazarenes had long hair.

  • @skrimpshidy If you are talking about the intro and the quote from 1 Corinthians 13:13, it reads, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." My friend, invest a few minutes and educate yourself on the word "charity." Just because you are using a modern paraphrased Bible and not the English Bible, does not make you right. The fact you reject the word of God and reject plain teaching from it reveals much about the state of your soul.

  • No, the greatest of these is Love,,, I was willing, but after that, nope. Thanks for the effort.

  • @AmandaStem There is not one single thing in the chapter to indicate that it was only for the Corinthian church. Paul appealed to nature, the Godhead, the creation, etc. and did not say one thing about culture. Also, if you take the approach that many today do and write it off as only applying to the Corinthians, then does the Lord's Supper which is also dealt with in that chapter only apply to them? It is for all churches, and all believers to follow. God bless.

  • how do we know that this isn't just for the Corinthian church? I am looking for truth

  • @owaffs No, I certainly was not wearing the hat when praying! :-)

  • I hope you weren't wearing that baseball cap when you were praying before this video. ;D

  • @joyboyscrumbs Excellent! It is always a blessing to hear of a sister walking in this truth!

  • amen! i absolutely agree.. from early on in my walk with Y'shua He led me to cover my head! for a long time though i couldn't find any who also took this teaching of the scriptures seriously, so i'm very happy to find this video. YAH bless you brother ryan for posting this!

  • @not1097 Watch the video (Proverbs 18:13). I deal with that error almost immediately. 1 Corinthians 11:16 is not Paul saying all this previous teaching I have done is irrelevant, it is him saying the opposite. We have no such custom to be contentious, it is not saying we have no such custom to obey the commands previously given.

  • @bostonblonde21 I will respond since you took the time to spew forth your anger & folly for all to see. Nothing in this video is "hateful wisdom" it is a teaching from the word of God. What the disciples were criticized for was a tradition of men, headcovering is a command of Scripture. Silly rules do not matter, but this is not a silly rule. Many dear women have realized the blessing of headcovering, but they love God and want to obey Him. I pray you will begin to love Him too..

  • :) And if you email me back, I won't even open it. I've had enough of your hateful "wisdom." As I said, go teach something useful, relevant, that leads people to Christ. Jesus' disciples were critcized for not washing their hands before eating--"keeping kosher"--Jesus knew silly rules didn't matter, and so do I. What matters is service and relationship.

  • @ineeddadis The reason I did not go into the Old Testament was because it was mainly cultural things, and not a command of Scripture. For example, at one point in the culture a woman that covered her face was considered a harlot (obviously today it would be the opposite.

    Genesis 38:15

15 When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

Headcovering is a New Testament command given to us to honor the Lord with. God bless you richly.

  • @3136740107 So in your strange definition of prophesy, when a God-hating atheist is reading the Scripture out loud and mocking it they are prophesying for God? You need to go back to God and hear from Him on this. You are just repeating the words of men who are desperate to think that they are prophesying when they are not. If you want to correct a man of God then bring plain Scripture, as I am not here to be corrected by people's church traditions and vain opinions.

  • A little old testament help

    Genesis 24:63-65

King James Version (KJV) 63And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. 64And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. 65For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself

  • GREAT TEACHING....BE BLESSED IN CHRIST JESUS !!!!!

  • Amein, great teaching :)

  • A number of people (mainly rebellious women) have come to this video and tried to post their own teachings against the Scriptures. Your foolish and wicked comments will not be approved. If you believe I am in error then show me from the Scriptures. If you are just going to tell me what your apostate pastor said then do not bother posting such things. I am happy to hear from those who have Scripture to discuss, so please keep comments related to the Scripture and not the traditions of men.

  • @cpa1024 Great question. The question was answered in the video. Teaching and preaching is not prophesy, regardless of what some preachers, that desperately want to be prophets, may say. Prophecy is when you speak for God (thus saith the Lord). In Ephesians 4:11, the role of teacher is different from that of a prophet. Romans 12:6-7 also distinguishes between prophecy and teaching. They are not the same thing. The man's head must be uncovered when praying or prophesying. God bless you.

  • Bro. i believed to what everything you've said, I been practicing this since i got baptized and first heard about it. My question is, is it okay for you to teach and prophesy about the word of God with your head covered with hat or cap? just asking brother, i hope you wont mind. I appreciate all of your teaching i been following it everyday, i've learned a lot. God bless you!
