On April 3, 2009, countries from around the world participated in the '100 Hours of Astronomy' webcast to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy. Produced to support the webcast, this movie highlights the discoveries of the SOHO and TRACE satellites, and features NASA solar scientists Alex Young and Dawn Meyers, describing how both satellites view the sun in their own unique way.

At 0:32, a man is shown looking thru a telescope at the sun.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THAT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Even if you think you have the correct type solar filter.

One set of eyes to a customer, no replacements.

    Ever.

Hey Guys. Look I know hardly any of you will read but it's really hard to get noticed now. I put time and effort into my videos and I think I deserve a little more appreciation. I make daily minecraft when I can, occasional Black ops 2 or Fifa videos. I love making videos, it's my passion and one day I want youtube to be my job. Not for being a money whore but so I can do what I love whilst keeping a roof over my head. So please just take a couple of minutes. Thanks to any nice people who do

The sun can be viewed safely with the right filters both in white light and H alpha.

“Most YouTube viewers have no idea what type filter to use, or how to inspect it.” That’s not my problem. And you seriously need to get laid because you seem tense.

    Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Most YouTube viewers have no idea what type filter to use, or how to inspect it. And doctors also do liver transplants. Do you recommend drinking ethylene glycol?

Have you had your brain surgically removed, or were you born that stupid?

As long as you have a proper solar filter it's fine. And there is such a thing as cornea transplants.
