I personally like drop C....and in that tuning my Warlock GROWLS!!!! AND I MEAN DEATH METAL GROWLS!!! But lower tunings dont equal more heavyness. It all has to do with your hands and what and how your playing.

@CentraCross That's not Iommi style, that's Glam metal style.
Listen to something like Children of the Grave then to this, they don't sound at all alike.
Not to mention there are metal guitarists these days who can come up with riffs that are far heavier, and beautiful than even the stuff Sabbath pulled off. The two best examples probably being Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth and Frederik Thordendal of Meshuggah.
