This is a 1998 home video of me driving my Zodiac Mark 2 Compact Futura Inflatable Boat with Yamaha 30 hp Outboard Motor. In this Video I am demonstrating the extreme safety of a Zodiac Boat. It is Below 0 out in November and I purposely open the 3 main air valves and leave them open. The boat is still able to operate with me, full gas tank and 130 lb Yamaha 3 cylinder 30 hp Outboard Motor on the back and the outside waterline is not even close to being able to come in. Anyone is isnt sure about the safety and seaworthyness of a Zodiac Inflatable Boat should just watch this video! Zodiacs are extremely safe! Interesting demonstration. I wouldn't have tried it myself, but it's good see the capabilities of these boats tested in such a way and not just have the theorical notion of what would happen.

They don't have the cone ends because the tube has a tapered design, it gets bigger at the back. This allows for more buoyancy in the rear, more HP, and more interior space.

This happened to me about 3 quarters of a mile out on my lake.

Always interesting to see such deflation demonstrations. Such boats are very safe. I wonder why the new Zodiacs don't have the cone ends anymore.
