Lighting of the ceremonial campfire at Camp Kon-O-Kwee on October 16, 2010. My little brave is just off frame and "magically" starting the fire. Camp Kon-O-Kwee is part of the Greater Pittsburgh YMCA, and the guides program is an excellent opportunity for fathers and sons to spend quality time together.

  • Oh my god! It's Mr. Manfredi's Hee-Pow! :D :D :D Mr Man was my social studies teacher! <3

  • weird. must be in the u.s

  • Thanks for teaching our youth nothing but bad and false perspectives of the native community. This does nothing but disrepect a great mass of people in the United States. Yeah like we really do this, its called a match, duh!!!! Quit trying to be people you are NOT!!! For now I am going to disrespect the Christian people and see how you like it. (I am kidding but still its on the same lines if I would.)

  • Please look at the foundations of the Y Indian Guides program, started by a native american.

  • 2 people like to insult and degrade another race's spiritual practices!

  • This is pretty low down stupidity. While these folks get no points for such behavior, I believe they are also victims of a biased history, stupid movies, and plain lack of knowledge. I also believe people are being encouraged to mock everything spiritual and everything substantive. Both native and non native. We need to stick together and deal with those who are really pushing this kind of ignorance in order to keep people from standing together.

  • They do this kind of disrespect to my Celtic and Norse ancestors running around with there horned helmets and faces painted blue.I'm also Tsalagi native I get it and see it from all sides.Being a traditional pre Roman pre Columbus minded person. Not all white people are like these ignorant souls! Were all people of the earth! This really pissed me off seeing this video!Maybe some full bloods need to contact the YMCA and help teach them it would really help the kids so they won't grow up to be a ass

  • Beautiful children...with clay like minds, ready to be formed and molded into a foundation for what they will become...give them something real...invite real natives to teach them something real, now that you have our attention...many eyes are upon you.....

  • How sad this is, you really need to look into the real rituals of Native peoples and then maybe you wouldn't be making light of what you don't know. I find this extremely disrespectful and just shows your ignorance.

  • Wow.. Just, wow.. You think it's cool to make fun of the spiritual practices of another race?!? I suppose I could reply with a video that shows just how stupid white people can get but hey, you beat me to it...
