How to tune your santur

An instructional video by Pejman Azarmina on how to tune a santur using a chromatic tuner. Language in Farsi. To tune semi-flat (koron) notes, please calibrate your tuner to A 427 Hz.

WARNING: Tuning the santur for the first time and beginners bears the risk of cutting off the strings (especially the brass strings). It requires lots of practice and high quality strings to minimize that risk.

will you have more videos on how to tune a santoor? This is very valuable information with hardly anything else around about how to do this. I really appreciate this video thank you. One question I had is can you give me the chronological order of all the notes on a 9 bridge and a 12 bridge santoor? any help is appreciated

@firefly7927 I am glad to hear that you are interested in santur. I don't know much about current santur price range in Iran and you have to ask that question from different shops and santur-makers. A high quality santur should cost no less than $1000.
