  • Great stuff, why not add the rickety sound of a super 8mm projector for authenticity?

  • Sounds like a good idea- I had some original recordings on an original soundtrack which also inlcuded some materials that were copyrighted- I chose to eliminate all for this posting. My main purpose for posting was for people who were there or were not born yet to get an idea what Expo looked like.

  • Nice. I have a vague memory of Expo. Still live within a mile or two of the site. None of that stuff -- except the French pavilion (now the casino), Habitat (the building-block style apartments) and a few outbuildings survive. The shooter had a pretty good eye for this Super 8. Who was it -- someone you knew?

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the video that I shot at age 17. The film is old but I thought it might be enjoyable for some to see. If you enjoyed this check some of my other Expo excerpts or the 1964 NY World's Fair videos I have posted.

  • What was the shrinking machine called???

  • Kewl

  • The Gyrotron...been trying to remember that name for YEARS! I remember going on that ride with my dad.

  • ah yes, the black bug (the ride at the end of the video). Mom and I went on that . I was 7. Very scary

  • What's the song used for this video? It fits the visuals so well!

  • Was 10 years old and spent half the Summer of Love there (hey, I was 10). Great memories.

  • It would be cool if you could revisit the site and make a new video of what it looks like today and pehaps split-screen it with the old video. Even though I wasn't even born then (b.1972), Expo 67 amazes me. So much went into this Expo. It's sad that they let the site go in later years.

  • Nice video! I think that I recognize myself in the beginning, young man with the with t-shirt ;-) But maybe it is not me, everyone looked the same in those days.
