you can't put the component test screen on with the scanner stream anymore. things aren't tied together like they were before.
They need a mechanic (old school) on their development team and not just the computer app guys to make this work right.
You are "right on" about 10.4 I had it for a week and had it taken out and 10.2 put back. Save some money on this upgrade and don't do it until they get it fixed
Thanks for the heads up Maycor

yes, do not get the upgrade. you will not be able to print the screen that has the data stream anymore for the customer. You can still graph 16 streams id pids but can only see 6 on the screen at a time. And if you want to see six that are all in one column (left side or right side0 you will only be able to see 3 of them at a time. you can scroll through all the graphs with the stroke of you finger like an app on you phone but i don't like that

@WarrenAutomotive You do realize the upgrade 10.4 no longer shows 16 paragraph pids but a maximun of 6. If this tool works for you by all means go for it, bottom line everyone has different points of view and preference.

yes, 10k is a lot of money. If you are just starting out this could wait. But if you are already established and are looking to upgrade, Verus should be top on your list. I use it every day. Modis sits as a back up. Genisys only gets used for mode 6. Tech 2 for passlock that Snap on doesn't cover.
It takes time to get used to any new technology. But with the USB connected to a hub w/ full size keyboard and USB printer, video out to 24" LCD monitor, Verus is a great investment.

bottom line is that Im trying to help a fellow tech out and advice them to do a research before purchasing this tool. Whether you like it or see it best fits you than thats great...

@WarrenAutomotive Just because I dont own it does not mean I have not used it. There are many scan tools I have used and some companies have offered their scan tools to try it out and see how it does. There are many scan tool I would never buy and verus is just one of them. I think we have different values of what we are looking in a scan tool. I do not put anything down all I said was to do some research. As far as being cheap... Im very much so thats the reason I do research before investing

@maycor1076 I don't believe your so called facts because they are not true. You don't have a verus to back up your views. I do. I have had verus since it first came out. I also have a Modis. I can compare the two side by side. It's worth the upgrade. Don't put down something just because you are too cheap to buy it. Get the real facts.

have you done some research and done the math. If i didnt have a modis I still would not buy this tool because of how expensive it is and no major difference. Snap on scan tools are great no doubt about it. But as your opinion goes.... thats all it is I speak facts.

When I say I want to get the best out of my money I mean it. You already have a modis why would you want to buy a verus? To me that would be the worst investment because all the data is the same. Yes, verus has more features but nothing major. If you add a laptop to your modis you have a Verus. If you want to see 16 data screen at once then I suggest sharpen your diagnostic skills. It''s not good to have many pids at once because data would be slow and not as accurate. You need to reasearch
