Good theory, from Tom Tellez. Only thing you didn't include (which I saw from the athlete), he did not have his fingers spread. He sould spread them for balance. Also, his back leg looks too far in front. should be moved back a notch or two in order to reach a 137.5 degree angle in the back knee joint, which would set up the athlete for the second step.
