2000 Taurus SE 0-60

It was about 90 degrees out, car had 95k at the time, 0-60 in a little over 9 secs, 3.0 Vulcan OHV Engine. I sold it at about 105k.

my taurus hits a 0-60 in like 6-7 seconds, ive got the 24V DOHC SEL taurus tho

Go taurus my mom had a 3.0 vulcan engine too , love how it sounds

You run about a second slower then mine, and its an identical car. I usually get 0-60 between 9 and 10 seconds, depending on the road conditions.

@kubotaman85 we weren't talking about fuel efficiency we were talking about the difference overdrive made in doing a WOT run! where the hell did you get that from?

@KingofComputing I care about fuel efficency because of the price of gas nowadays! Yes it does make a difference whether you use overdrive or not! I have a 93 Taurus and if Im in regular drive going 55 mph I run 2500 RPMS in overdrive I run 1500 RPM now thats a 1000 RPM diference so therefore it saves gas to be in overdrive! DUH! but you sir obvisoly don't give a damn about it and im not gonna argue with you anymore about it.I am now blocking you

@kubotaman85 who cares about fuel efficiency when doing a 0-60 you jsut want to pump in as much gas as possible. whether it's in overdrive or not doesn't matter here.

@KingofComputing YES it would have! You use more gas when you're in the regular drive gear! if you use your overdrive its more fuel efficent! DUH!

@kubotaman85 you're kidding right? how would overdrive get you there faster, first of all it wouldn't have made a difference because the transmission won't ever go to overdrive until you've compeltely maxed out fourth gear with your foot in it which would be close to 120 and secondly overdrive is a ratio of like .85 to 1 so you have ABSOLUTELY no torque at all. it would take you hours to accelerate in overdrive.

ive smoked me two of these already. no clue whats under their hoods. but theyre quick. just not quick enough.
