Music: Ancient Echoes by Osho World Music.

Phraxos by Laurence Neill

Cicadas
On bronze-winged afternoons.
Shadows pool and flood the anteroom.
The colonnade abutts the sea-scurfed pine
Astringent, when blended with the wine.
Below the cliff
The flexing summer sea.
(Enigma dissolves to mystery).
Untrammelled
Unsullied
Unsurpassed
A vision of a world of living art.

  • In the book, I think she likes Soviet style as the paperwork is uncomplicated , easy to leave behind.

As a GRANDIOSO POMPOSO i think if everyone loves madness they should have madness at their celebration. Just be truly happy -

  • not russian, rather new, soviet style marriage, i guess. let,s hope it exists with papers too. they loved and burnt each other... remember the sequence when isadora is learning russian? teacher, an old, shy woman explaining 'this pencil is red, that pencil is blue'... then she stops her and asks: tell me how to say in russian 'i love your thighs'...;)) and yes, good celebration is so very important, a good one, not necessarily a pompous one, right?

  • Isadora agreed with your sentiments on marriage - she didnt mind Russian style officialdom in marriage - where you just sign and if you dont get on, you just UNsign. She had a Russian marriage.

TRUE LOVE is beyond papers really though papers so its the same with or without.

Personally, i have silly phobias re: paperwork and find it it upsetting - but i love a good celebration

  • don,t know how progressive she was but surely loved her daughter and didn,t want to break her wings. probably fought herself in this case, result was unique though. marriage - not a bad institution for those born for each other, no?

  • yes! she was with Heads of State, royalty , Cultural icons - a truly stunning read, Isadoras mother was SO PROGRESSIVE back then in allowing her daughter to choose her way AND support her dreams!

I LOVE Isadoras take on marriage as she observed her worlds when growing up.

  • very interesting book 'my life'... she personally knew almost all who 'counted' in her lifetime in europe at least. and redgrave did the part exceptionally well.
