  • Whats ur hair type? And my hair is protein sensitive too!

  • @TooCuteDestiny 4a/4b curly & coarse

  • Nina i was wondering have u ever tried Megatek? Im trying it out now but i mix it with EVCO because it is alot of protien and so far it makes my hair very soft and the ng manageable...i will only use it at 3-4 week intervals because i don't want protein overload and when im not using it ima try the Kimmay leave in recipe....just wondering if u've used it and what ur experiences were like...i will keep u posted on my progress with the MT..and thanks again for your responses...HHJ

  • @misstinthehouse Hey girl. I have never tried MT....if ur hair is loving it, I say stick to it!

  • Nina you are my inspiration with my hair journey. im a lil pass my shoulder and im praying to be ur length by 2012. Every product you try i run and get. Ive tried the one n only shampoo and the conditioner and the mask and the protein in the conditioner and mask are 2 much, so now i just bought the shea moisture products so im going try it n keep u posted. Thanks again!! BTW ur hair is beautiful. love it. i had 2 watch this video 5 times.lol

  • @BeautifulReflections Aww thanks sweetie!!! Please don't buy every product I use cause I like to experiment from time to time, I tend to get bored with using the same products lol! But the SheaMoisture Shampoo is definitely a keeper!

  • @Blackbarbietea did you lose some volume or thickness in your hair during your transition or stetch. Im in my fourth month post relaxer and I flatiron every two weeks I think my hair got thinner but everyone else says it hasn't. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Lol

  • @Blackbarbietea

I think I will continue to wear 'relaxed hair styles while my hair is mostly relaxed, and as my natural hair grows longer, I will try the natural styles. I've learned that for me, trying natural styles on my relaxed hair doesn't really work. My ends get too dry, I get too many tangles, no matter how gentle. But as I transition longer, I'll try those styles and see how they go when I have more natural hair and less relaxed. I'm not doing a big chop.

  • @Blackbarbietea

It's not my different textures battling each other that is the problem because I'm still very new to the transition and barely 2 months post relaxer. It's my ends. My relaxed ends do not like curly styles. I've tried braid outs twist outs flexi rods, I used coconut oils, conditioners, watched all kinds of videos you name it. My ends are still dry and brittle with these styles. But when I roller set, blow dry and flat iron, my ends are fine.

  • @nancydrew5 Yeah, it gets complicated if you're trying to not do any heat because you have the two different textures battling each other. What I'm doing right now is taking nioxin vitamins, and garlic pills, and I'm washing and d/cing every 2weeks. but in between that time i flat iron my hair once, and for the rest of the two weeks I'm putting them on flex rods every night.

  • @Blackbarbietea I read your comment about stretching for 7 months without straigtening your hair and it will break. I'm just at the beginning of my transition, barely 2 months past last relaxer so got a long way to go. I don't want to do a BC and I don't want to heat train either, always blow drying my hair so it can be straight. I've been doing wet styles, going from wet to braid outs mostly but my hair tangles. The relaxed hair is so fragile, no matter how gentle I am with it

  • LOVE yOUR HAiR

  • Love your hair. looks so healthy :)
