  • For sunflowers use standard platform with grain sourgum pans on sickle or special made pans just for sunflowers. Have something to catch heads as they are cut off or most will end up on ground.

Soybeans use flex-head on combine is best way to cut beans. Can use standard riged platform but takes a lot of attention to keep sickle out of dirt. Run dirt or mud into combine & the concaves will need to be cleaned out as they'll plug-up. Rotary combine may do same, just don't plug w/green plants.

  • in sunflower and soybean harvesting use the same combine head??
