Step 1:
Barrel rolls down the barriers and lands on the gravity lift.
Step 2:
The gravity lift pushes the barrel upward where it hits an mid-air fusion coil, dropping it to the ground.
Step 3:
The fusion coil explodes sending a chain reactions through some other fusion coils.
Step 4:
The fusion coils push the crate into the gravity lift pushing it both forward and upward.
Step 5:
The crate hits a mid-air fusion coil sending it down where it explodes both itself and the surrounding fusion coils.
Step 6:
The force of the fusion coils fires the barrel forward, like a bullet, into the pallets while behind, the crates and barriers fall.
Step 7:
The force of the barrel pushes over the pallets/missiles causing a domino effect through rocket spawn.
Step 8:
The last pallet pushes the barrel down the ramp into the gravity lift and flies through the air. Depending on the force of the barrel/pallets, one of 3 things may happen all resulting in the same thing.
A.)The barrel hits the fusion coil in mid-air
B.)The barrel misses the fusion coil and hits the opposite gravity lift pushing it back and hitting the mid-air fusion coil
C.) (the coolest in my opinion) The barrel misses the fusion coil, lands at the top of the opposite ramp and rolls down into the gravity lift where it hits the mid-air fusion coil.
Step 9:
The fusion coil falls and explodes, sending of a grand finale fusion coil/mongoose explosion everywhere causing "fire rain" or just a bunch of mongooses flying everywhere.
Step 10:
This chain continues into the last mongoose where it does one of 2 things,
A.)hits me and kills me
B.)hits me and sending me flying back

This machine took me about 4 days to create do to both experimenting and constant testing and adjusting.

Enjoy.

  • whats the point

  • the point is not to have a point

  • Except that Rube Goldberg machines, by definition, take a simple task (turning on the lights for example) and make it incredibly complex. Yours has no task it accomplishes, so what you have is a virtual dominoes track with some neat little toys inserted as pieces.

  • as pasted from the description:

This chain continues into the last mongoose where it does one of 2 things,

    A.)hits me and kills me

B.)hits me and sending me flying back

the simple task is suicide, but not really.

  • did u make it once and hope and pray it worked or do it over and over agin

  • i had the map saved, but not the fusion coils up in the air, as they would fall down and mess everything up when i started the map. so when i booted up the map i would set up 3 crates, stack a fusion coil on it and delete the boxes, leaving the fusion coil suspended. then i would try out the map, see if it worked and made adjustments when needed. but after every try i needed to reset those coils, which was really annoying.

i did that till i got it right.

  • boo. bored, make a real rube like on "Star Wars Rube Goldberg Machine".

  • really this probably didn't take all that long to make. maybe 2 hours. and your saying that people who use 2 hours of their life for fun have no life?
